When you place an order on Instacart, we may ask if you’d like to opt-in to share your information with the retailer.
Personal information that retailers may see if you opt-in includes—
- Name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Delivery address
- Order details
How retailers may use your account information
Retailers may use this information to send you marketing messages. They may also use this information to offer better discounts and keep your favorite items in stock.
Retailers may also disclose to Instacart whether you are a current member of the retailer’s loyalty program and whether you have deleted or canceled your loyalty account.
The information shared with the retailer when you opt-in is subject to that retailer’s privacy policy.
You can always select to stop sharing your information with the retailer by visiting your Account Settings.

Customers can opt out or see if they qualify by visiting Your Privacy Choices in the Instacart app or website.
